Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center is home to a 28-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with an expansive functional therapy wing. Our rehab unit is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), including specialty certification in stroke. Our updated unit opened in August of 2023 and includes state-of-the-art private patient rooms, including private bathrooms and showers. Our unit also contains a beauty shop, work simulation space, greenhouse, grocery store, café, functional living apartment, a real car and a rehab gym containing a SafeGait 360 harness system.

Our specialty-certified nurses and therapists strive to provide individualized treatment with the goal of returning our patients to their highest level of independence at home. Our outcome data is consistently higher than the region and nation, demonstrating our commitment to quality.
