Mercy Health - Cincinnati has named Justin Krueger as its new North Market President. Krueger assumes the role on July 15 from Tom Urban, who retired earlier this year, and reports to Mercy Health – Cincinnati President Dave Fikse. Krueger will be responsible for Mercy Health’s network of care in northern Cincinnati, including Fairfield Hospital.
Since January 2018, Krueger has served as the President of Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital, where he was responsible for the overall operational success of hospital, achieving financial, productivity, human potential and quality goals and maximizing opportunities for growth. Previously, Krueger served as the Chief Operating Officer of Fairfield Hospital, a role he assumed in 2016.
“Since his arrival at Mercy Health, Justin has proven himself to be a skilled hospital administrator and he has played a strong role in the success of both Clermont and Fairfield Hospitals. After conducting a diligent search for Tom Urban’s replacement, it gives me great pleasure to name Justin as the new North Market leader,” said Fikse. “I thank Shane Knisley for serving as Interim North Market President while we conducted our search. Shane will return to his role as Chief Operating Officer of Fairfield Hospital.”
Krueger joined Mercy Health from Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, where he served as COO. He also held COO roles with Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Mississippi and Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, FL. He has more than a decade of health care management experience and a strong background in clinical operations, growth strategies, physician relations, patient experience and safe delivery of high-quality health care.
Krueger holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Florida, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
Krueger and his wife Courtney have two children and live in greater Cincinnati.
Clermont Hospital has launched a search to fill Krueger’s role.
