Understanding the toll that scars can take on their patients, Mercy Health’s team of breast surgeons have achieved Hidden Scar® certification, earning Mercy Health Hidden Scar® System of Excellence honors in the process. Mercy Health is the only health system in Ohio to earn this designation, which notes that Hidden Scar surgeons perform more than half of the system’s breast cancer surgeries.

Hidden Scar breast cancer surgery helps patients move on from their breast cancer diagnosis with little visible reminder of their surgery. This advanced approach to treating breast cancer optimizes the cosmetic results of surgery while effectively treating the cancer.
