The families of Clark County and surrounding communities have spoken. When it comes to nursing homes, Mercy Health – Oakwood Village leads in satisfaction.
The results come from the Ohio Department of Aging’s 2018 Family Satisfaction Survey, released on May 2. Oakwood Village received the top score amongst all nursing homes in Clark County, the surrounding area and beyond.
Last year, the Department of Aging surveyed the family members of residents in Ohio's nursing homes and residential care facilities. Family members provided their perceptions of the facility's activities, administration, meals and dining, direct care, nursing and other factors that affect their family member's life in the facility.

This latest recognition follows the news that Oakwood Village Senior Living earned the top star rating of five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) last year. The overall rating summarizes 16 quality of care measures for both long- and short-term residents, as well as measures based on health inspections and staffing numbers. The overall rating ranges from one to five stars and shows how well each senior living facility performed, on average, compared to others in the U.S. The more stars, the better a senior living facility performed on the available quality measures.
