How many patients do residents see per half-day in the Internal Medicine Residency Clinic?

PGY-1 residents start with 2 patients per half day and progress to five patients per half day over the course of their intern year. During the PGY-2 year, residents will see six patients per half day. In the PGY-3 year, residents will see up to 7 patients per half day.

Do residents help with teaching of medical students?

Medical education is an integral part of our residency program. PGY-1 residents can begin to help with teaching medical students; however, medical students will usually work with PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents.
