The PGY 1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a 12-month program with an emphasis in acute care.
Required monthly learning experiences:
- Orientation
- Internal Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- Critical Care
- Antimicrobial Stewardship
- Ambulatory Care
- Administration
Required longitudinal learning experiences:
- Anticoagulation Clinic
- Drug Information
- Medication Safety
- Pharmacy Practice Experience
- Research Project
Elective learning experiences:
- Anesthesia/Surgery
- Cardiology
- Repeat any required learning experience
- Teaching and Learning Certificate through the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy
Other elective learning experiences may be developed based on resident interest and preceptor availability.
