Rotation Schedule

The PGY 1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a 12-month program with an emphasis in acute care.

Required monthly learning experiences:

  • Orientation
  • Internal Medicine
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Critical Care
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship
  • Ambulatory Care
  • Administration

Required longitudinal learning experiences: 

  • Anticoagulation Clinic
  • Drug Information
  • Medication Safety
  • Pharmacy Practice Experience
  • Research Project 

Elective learning experiences:

  • Anesthesia/Surgery
  • Cardiology
  • Repeat any required learning experience
  • Teaching and Learning Certificate through the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy 

Other elective learning experiences may be developed based on resident interest and preceptor availability.
