Lysa Aemmer, MD | Program Director
Medical School: The Medical University of South
Carolina, College of Medicine Dr. Aemmer is a general pediatrician who is passionate about resident education. In her outpatient clinic, she also collaborates with a local organization to perform evaluations for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. With four children of her own, she aims to treat every patient the way she would want her own family to be treated. Her goal is that all residents feel part of the Mercy Health pediatric family while here and that they graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful pediatrician in his or her field of choice. |

Gagandeep Brar, MD | Associate Program Director
Medical School: Punjab University Dayanand Medical
College and Hospital Dr. Brar is a general pediatrician-turned-neonatologist. Dr. Brar has a broad range of experiences that are invaluable in medical education. She is energetic and passionate in her roles both as an educator and as the associate program director. Whether in the NICU, simulation lab or didactic sessions, residents will benefit immensely from her expertise and knowledge. |
